Manhattan, also referred to as "The Little Apple," is located 20 minutes southwest of Westmoreland. ​Wamego is located fifteen minutes south of Westmoreland on KS-Hwy 99. Come visit the beautiful city park filled with tulips in the spring, or make plans to see the fireworks show voted #1 in the state on Independence Day. On any weekend throughout the year, Wamego offers excellent shopping, dining and recreation for visitors of all ages. While visiting, stop by the OZ Museum in Downtown Wamego to view one of the world's largest personally-owned collections of OZ memorabilia. Hiking, biking and canoeing are also available in the natural areas surrounding Wamego!

Frankfort, just 25 minutes north of Westmoreland, offers downtown shopping, scenic photo-opportunities and hometown cooking. Stop by the ever-popular shop Elsie Grace's for a variety of homegoods, antiques, wares and of course, the delicious items in their bake shoppe! 

Frankfort offers a large city park with an abundance of play and picnic areas. You can't miss the newly finished city pool full of water slides, diving boards and swim areas for all ages.
